Lake Song 03:35
i see you in the water as the sun it blinds my eyes though i'm an oceans daughter the lakes and streams oh i don't mind darling there's no need to fear we're nothing but safe we're nothing but safe here even with the stingers and wildbeast near we're nothing but safe we're nothing but safe here chorus: she rows to a new lake and gets lost gets lost again in her old, in her old, in her old ways so she rows, she rows, to a new place the sun goes down behind the blue ridge mountains the lake a mirror of everything above swimmin in the ancient fountain i feel nothing but love why cant it stay like this? the way it is the way it is cause the only the same is that everything changes that's the way it is the way it is chorus are we gonna chop down our oceans? drag nets across the forest floor? when will we remember our notions? when will we stop asking for more?

Crazy Eyes 03:24
crazy eyes lure me in think I'm going back again would you smile stay awhile and make me behave? if you're without the shape I'm in I'll take you on a little spin no rules, just hearts, to be broken i mountain climbed up thoughts untwined a pleasure river running wild and I don't want to It's okay, you'll say chorus: it's the first time and the last time it'll ever happen when you see me on the street it's like it never happened it's the first time and the last time it'll ever it'll ever happen and they'll never know how much that you don't mean to me or are you paddling my weak side, with hopes of walking in unison stride? in unison stride chorus to think of what we had together it could've caused some sordid weather i felt light as a board, and stiff as a feather if i am rubber and you are glue are you the foot that's gonna fit to my shoe a silly girl with crazy plans to legs at a time she puts on her pants as i wander this world in self pitiful gloom i forget to remind that elephant in the room i wont remember any of this will you remember any of this? i wont remember any of this, will you? it never happened it never happened it never happened

burnt down, flattened out, did anyone see this coming? i cry for the thirty years we knew this house. broke down, as I passed by, how could anything disappear that fast? I smile for the good times we had in this house in this house how will I know it's midnight if there's no grandfather clock to tell me? now where will we go when we come home? to the eyes it's all gone, but here in my heart to remind me. it's all gone but the memory lives on. dog bones in the backyard you're never gonna get another apple from that tree ain't a tree to be seen to be seen the only familiar place in a world of change for my sisters and I How will I know it's midnight if there's no gramma sippin her coffee? Now where will we go when we come back home? To the eyes it's all gone but here in my heart to remind me It's all gone but the memory lives on now where will we go when we come back home

Sea Waltz 05:03
let me tell you a story stop me if you've heard before bout a little shell, that found its little self washed up upon these very shores well i picked it up and held it to my ears i held it to my ears to hear what i could hear they always told me the oceans what i'd hear but i heard... chorus: life is the sea one day nice n smooth the next rough n mean from the shallows to the depths and everywhere in betweens it comes in waves it comes in waves it comes in waves, comes in waves just like the sea with slow dancing rhythm i began to move about my toes sinking in to that soft sand n my head, forgettin all about the sun glistenin on my wet, salty skin I couldn't help but smile as I listened to it sing to me... chorus well i put that little shell back down i put it on the ground so it could be found and i take it's little message with me everywhere i go and i share this little message with everyone i know oh i sing... chorus

about

Sarah Osborne Victoria, British Columbia

Sarah's sultry voice is a colourful velvet painting in a second-hand store. Exotic, dark, and textured, it beckons us, in its nostaglia, to bring it home and hang it on the wall, to remind us of a time that was, and a part of ourselves that is sweet, simple, and real. ... more
